Between acting in television, movies, and plays, he won an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1968. Having been born in Britain, he spent a large portion of his life in the United States and Canada before moving back home in the 1990s.

Lyrics:

She'll have a boy tonight
And be seen everywhere
And it seems she'll have her way again
With the king and the queen

But she finds in her own room, sometimes
Through the dark, her eyes detect some rhyme
And she sees just where she's living
Somewhere in between the hours of time

And everything's fine
As she holds up the sign of the queen
To her eyes and her mind

She gathers your love to her
With a feminine sigh
Is it fair to be in love again
When the queen doesn't care?
And in the hours of dark and keeping
Princes come to her and pass their time
And yet see sees her own eyes weeping
Her own voice she hears beneath her mind

And everything's fine
As she holds up the sign of the queen
To her eyes and her mind
